Marsh Supermarkets Collaborates on Cookbook
Marsh Supermarkets teamed up with WTHR-TV, the NBC affiliate in the grocer's hometown of Indianapolis, and ViMax Media, a Southfield, Mich.-based food marketing agency, to create "Sunrise Cookbook" as a way to raise funds for United Christmas Service.
Sold for $9.95 at Marsh stores throughout Indianapolis, the 100-page cookbook features favorite recipes from the WTHR-TV 13 Eyewitness News Sunrise morning news team. Included in the publication is a full page of Marsh coupons worth $10. To help with fundraising, the morning news anchors appeared at various Marsh stores autographing purchased copies of the cookbook.
This year marks the third that WTHR and ViMax have worked together on the cookbook, which has been published annually for eight years. During that time, WTHR has donated more than $775,000 to charity. Marsh has been involved for seven of the eight years; In 2013, The Kroger Co., based in Cincinnati, served as the project's sponsor.
Associated with United Way of Central Indiana, United Christmas Service helps raise funds to provide clothing, food, toys and gifts for needy area families.
