Marsh Rolls Out New 'Low-Price Destination' Campaign

Marsh Supermarkets is bowing a new advertising campaign today to position itself as a “low-price destination.”

The 100-store, Indianapolis-based regional food retailer will support the new campaign with television and newspaper advertising, billboardsm and in-store signage, according to local press reports.

Marsh CEO Frank Lazaran was quoted as saying in the Indianapolis Star that the chain will increase the number of items that it puts on sale -- to about 25 percent of the typical store's stock, as opposed to about 15 percent a year ago. "We clearly understand, in this economy, you have to be priced right,'' noted Lazaran.
