Marsh Partners with Diabetes Association

Marsh Supermarkets and the American Diabetes Association are teaming up to offer help the roughly 714,000 Indiana residents with diabetes and 1.6 million classified as pre-diabetic.

Marsh has always been known for giving back to the communities we serve and we are proud to announce this partnership with the American Diabetes Association,” said Bill Holsworth, Marsh CEO.

Free diabetes-related services at Marsh stores include expert advice from pharmacists and registered dietitians, in person and online; seven oral diabetes medications and lancets; enrollment in the Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program; an online video cookbook offering healthy recipes; and American Diabetes Association resource materials.

“Initiatives like the Marsh Diabetes Care program that encourages people with diabetes to comply with their treatment regimen and adopt a healthy, active lifestyle play an important role in helping to ease the human and economic toll that diabetes can have on people and communities,” said Jennifer Pferrer, executive director of the American Diabetes Association for the Indiana area.

Indianapolis-based Marsh Supermarkets operates 93 stores in Indiana and Ohio, including 40 pharmacy locations.
