Marsh Hosts Cabinet Cleanout
Pharmacies at Marsh Supermarkets and MainStreet Markets are once again helping its customers rid their homes of unwanted, unused medications.
Between Sept. 21 and Sept. 24, customers can bring labeled containers of prescription and over-the-counter products to any of the 40 Marsh or MainStreet Market pharmacies where a pharmacist will qualify the product for free destruction. Controlled substances, inhalers and any product that’s flammable, hazardous or contains nitroglycerin will not be accepted.
Marsh has hosted this event for the last four years and expects this fall to collect its 150,000th vial of unwanted, unused medication.
Event partners are Rexam, Inmar, IU Health, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, NuGenesis Environmental Services, Indiana Poison Center and Indiana Association for Home and Hospice Care Inc.
Indianapolis-based Marsh Supermarkets operates 93 stores in Indiana and Ohio under the Marsh and MainStreet Market banners.
