Marsh Converts Three More Stores to 'Hometown' Banner

INDIANAPOLIS -- Marsh Supermarkets, Inc. here will celebrate the conversion of three more Marsh Hometown Market conversions on Thursday with a staff meet-and-greet for customers. The first 200 customers at each location will also receive a $5 Marsh Gift Card, beginning at 9 a.m.

Two of the stores, each former LoBill Foods, have been newly updated and are located at 1401 Washington Street in Kokomo, Ind. and at 2250 N. Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Ohio. Some of the physical improvements to the stores include new fixtures, enhanced product offerings, and improved lighting.

"Between the two locations, Marsh committed nearly $1.5 million to update the stores," said Frank Lazaran, Marsh chairman, c.e.o., and president, who noted that the improved store layouts, competitive everyday pricing, weekly promotions, and new customer marketing programs will better serve local customers' needs.

Coinciding with the celebration, the Marsh store at 208 Southway Blvd. E. in Kokomo will also become a Marsh Hometown Market. As previously reported, Marsh is launching two special customer programs at these three stores, including a program for moms that provides savings on items new parents frequently purchase, and a senior rewards program which provides 5 percent discounts on Thursdays for shoppers 60 years and older.

Marsh Supermarkets operates 93 Marsh Supermarkets, 5 LoBill Foods and 5 O'Malia's Food Markets in Indiana and Ohio. Marsh also owns and operates Crystal Food Services and Primo Banquet Catering and Conference Centers.
