Mann Packing Debuts YouTube Cooking Videos

Mann Packing Co., one of the world’s largest suppliers of fresh broccoli, has created a series of cooking videos especially for YouTube that will teach consumers how to cook with its line of washed and ready-to-use fresh-cut vegetables.

The videos are an excellent way to connect with shoppers, according to Gina Nucci, director of healthy culinary innovation at Salinas, Calif.-based Mann.

“We know people are time crunched but still want to eat healthy,” she said. “These videos are quick solutions for busy people, and YouTube is a free, easy-to-use tool that allows consumers to learn more about Mann Packing, our product line, with helpful cooking tips and usage ideas.”

One advantage of posting videos on YouTube -- the second-most used search engine, after Google -- is the ability to prompt viewers of the videos to visit the Mann’s website to find out more about the supplier’s other products, store locations and recipes, among other information.

“Our hope is that our shoppers will view the cooking videos as a resource and be inspired to try new recipes as well,” noted Nucci. “Videos are a great resource to interact with current and potential consumers. Customers feel like they are getting a hands-on learning experience, which in turn builds a better bond between Mann and our consumers.”
