Lowe’s Market Names COO

Littlefield, Texas-based Lowe’s Market has promoted John Timothy (Tim) Cotton to COO of the family-owned supermarket chain.

Cotton began his career with Lowe’s as store manager in Alamogordo, N.M., and has since served as an area manager for various regions, as well as overseen many of the chain’s remodels, store sets, designs and special projects.

“Tim is a proven leader that models the Christian values that has helped make our company successful for the past 49 years,” said Roger Lowe Jr., the company’s CEO. “With more than 25 years [of] experience in the grocery industry, Tim brings extensive knowledge and high standards to this position.”

Lowe’s Market operates 147 stores in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona.
