Lee Colarco Becomes L&R Distributors’ VP Cat Man & Procurement

L&R Distributors Inc. has promoted Lee Colarco to the position of VP of category management and procurement.

Bringing more than 30 years of leadership experience to her new role, Colarco came to L&R from Boca Raton, Fla.-based Chain Drug Consortium, where she held the position of VP of GM and consumables. Before that, she was VP of merchandising at New York-based drug store chain Duane Reade. Colarco's expertise encompasses category management, merchandising, store planning and layout.

L&R President Marc Bodner noted that Colarco "will play a major role in designing the ultimate shopping experience in our customers' stores -- the community retailers of America."

Brooklyn, N.Y.-based L&R is a national distributor of more than 35,000 HBC, GM and cosmetics products, serving 15,000-plus points of distribution in the supermarket, drug, independent and mass trade classes across the United States.
