La Brea Bakery Breaks Bread in Chicagoland

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, La Brea Bakery has launched a nationwide sampling tour, beginning in the Chicagoland area May 29 – June 1 and June 4 – 7.

La Brea Bakery Bread Masters will visit metropolitan and suburban locations, handing out complementary loaves of fresh-baked artisan bread and La Brea Bakery coupons.

Consumers also will have the chance to win La Brea Bakery prizes by posting photos from sampling locations on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #BreakingBread.

Confirmed sampling times and locations in Chicagoland include West Wacker Drive and North State Street, June 4 at 8:30 a.m., and North Clark Street and West Eddy Street, June 6 at 6:15 p.m.  In addition to Chicago, the tour will make stops in Charlotte, Seattle and Columbus/Cincinnati.

"We have such passionate enthusiasts for our brand in the LA area," Andrew Blok, brand manager, told Progressive Grocer. "The goal is to replicate that passion for La Brea Bakery across the country as more consumers are exposed and delighted by our foods. We will be sampling 40,000 loaves across 4 cities as well as handing out coupons to encourage trial.”
