Kroger, Union Ink New Labor Pact for Ga. Workers

More than 19,580 Kroger associates who work in 165 stores in and around Atlanta and 12 stores in Savannah have ratified a new labor contract with United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 1996.

“We thank our associates for their focus on serving our customers during this process,” said Bruce Lucia, president of Kroger’s Atlanta division. “We look forward to continuing to work together to provide quality jobs for our associates and a great shopping experience for our customers.”

Cincinnati-based Kroger’s Atlanta division is one of the largest retail grocery chains in the southeast, with 216 stores serving customers in Georgia, eastern Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina.
