Kroger Selects PSC To Provide One-Step POS
PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Kroger Co. has selected PSC's SmartSentry POS security system, including Magellan 9500 and EAS deactivation systems, as its scanner/scale of choice for all future installations.
Kroger is installing the SmartSentry systems in all cashier and self-checkout lanes in its stores. The first systems will be installed in select stores equipped with ADT Security Services' Sensormatic Ultra*Max anti-theft systems. Initial installations will be unveiled in the coming weeks in several Kroger marketing areas, including Atlanta, Phoenix, and Louisville. The system will be installed in remaining stores over the next two years.
