Kroger Recalls Private Selection Ice Cream in 12 States

Inter-American Products, Inc., a division of The Kroger Co. , is recalling two codes of Private Selection Light Churned Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream in 1.75-quart containers with a sell-by date of Dec. 3, 2008. The two codes are: DEC0308 8070 and DEC0308 8080.

The ice cream is being recalled because it may contain egg, soy, and wheat, which are not listed in the ingredient statement. People who have an allergy to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product.

Kroger distributed the suspect ice cream to stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. No other Private Selection Ice Cream products are affected by this recall, the chain.
