Kroger Reaches Tentative Pact With Georgia Union

CINCINNATI -- Kroger Co. here last Friday said it reached a tentative agreement with the United Food & Commercial Workers locals in Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., covering about 16,000 employees.

The union has agreed to recommend that members approve the 52-month contracts, which the company said provides employees with competitive wages and affordable health-care benefits at a fair cost to employees and the company.

The tentative pacts cover Kroger employees at 175 stores, mainly in Georgia.
