Kroger Opens First Scott’s Fuel Center

The Kroger Co. opened its first Scott’s fuel center in Fort Wayne, Ind., last week, and plans to open a total of 10 Scott’s fuel center locations at its grocery stores in the area over the next three years, according to area TV station WANE.

The fuel center complements the Scott’s food store on West State Boulevard in Fort Wayne. It’s also the first in Cincinnati-based Kroger’s Central Division to feature handicap service call buttons at every pump, according to the report. The station also boasts Kroger’s reward program, which allows customers who use a loyalty card to earn a 10-cent-per-gallon discount, WANE reported.

The addition of fuel centers at Kroger and Scott’s grocery stores is part of a company strategy to provide as many products and services as possible, the report said.
