Kroger to open 60 in-store banks
CINCINNATI -- Kroger Co. plans to open in-store banking branches at 60 of its locations in and around the Atlanta market.
Retail in-store banking consultancy NCBS of Memphis, Tenn., has completed a deal that will result in Wisconsin-based Guaranty Bank opening "BestBank" branded banks at the Kroger stores. Guaranty Bank has approximately 130 bank branches -- mainly in grocery stores -- in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
Guaranty Bank, with $2 billion in assets, will soon have one of the largest branch networks in the Atlanta region.
