Kroger Names Jon Flora President of Fry's
CINCINNATI -- The Kroger Co. selected veteran executive Jon Flora to be president of the 117-store, Phoenix-based Fry's division effective August 19, 2007.
Flora replaces Mike Donnelly, who last week was named to lead Kroger's California-based Ralphs division.
During his 36-year career with the multi-banner grocery powerhouse, Flora, 52, served in variety of leadership positions, most recently as a corporate e.v.p., guiding several Kroger divisions.
Prior to the corporate post, Flora was the president of the Kroger's Columbus-based Great Lakes division. He began his career in 1971 with Kroger's Dillon stores division.
Kroger operates 2,458 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 31 states under two dozen local banners.
