Kroger Illuminates Headquarters for Breast Cancer Awareness
For the fifth consecutive year, Kroger has teamed up with Yoplait for the annual Sharing Courage campaign, in which the Cincinnati-based grocer illuminates its headquarters pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Kroger associates will kick off the campaign on Sept. 29, and will unveil a 150-foot promotional banner and honor an employee and local breast cancer survivor.
As part of the campaign, Yoplait is partnering with Kroger to donate $20,000 to the American Cancer Society. Customers can also show their support by visiting www.sharingcourage.com and support the cause in stores.
Sharing Courage raises $3 million to support breast cancer initiatives in communities across the country served by the Kroger Family of Stores.
Cincinnati-based Kroger operates 2,638 supermarkets and multidepartment stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia under two dozen local banner names including Kroger, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Harris Teeter, Jay C, King Soopers, QFC, Ralphs and Smith's.
