Kroger Helps Shoppers Save at the Pump with Fuel Sweeps

As consumers continue to take advantage of low gas prices nationwide, Kroger Co. is helping them save even more at the pump with its new "How Low Can You Go?" fuel sweepstakes.

Through the month of February, consumers can enter for a chance to win free fuel for a month by sharing photos at the grocer's fuel centers that answer "How Low Can You Go?"

Participants can post to Kroger's Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts using the hashtag #FuelPointsSweeps. Forty-four final winners will be randomly selected to win a $200 gift card.

"Customers are seeing prices at the pump that we haven't seen in years," said Mike Donnelly, Kroger's SVP of merchandising. "Combine that with all the ways you can save on fuel at Kroger, and many of our customers are filling their tanks for less than a dollar per gallon at our pumps. Fuel points are one of the ways we say thank you to our loyal customers every day."

Cincinnati-based Kroger operates 2,631 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia under two dozen local banner names including Kroger, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Harris Teeter, Jay C, King Soopers, QFC, Ralphs and Smith's.  The company also operates more than 2,000 fuel center locations in 37 states.
