Kroger, Detroit UFCW Local Ink Tentative Deal
CINCINNATI -- The Kroger Co. here reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with the United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 876 in Detroit. The tentative agreement covers over 9,900 Kroger associates at 101 stores in the metro Detroit area.
Details of the tentative agreement are not being released pending ratification, said the parties involved.
"This tentative agreement was reached because of the hard work of both the union and the company," said Bruce Macaulay, president of Kroger's Great Lakes Division, which includes Kroger stores in Michigan.
