Kroger Atlanta to Get Festive for Cinco de Mayo at Event
CINCINATTI -- The Kroger Co. here said yesterday it will sponsor Fiesta Atlanta 2007, a Hispanic-themed Cinco de Mayo celebration that will take place May 6 at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta.
Fiesta Atlanta is a production of Atlanta-based Hispanic marketing and advertising agency Lanza Group, LLC.
"Kroger has always made exceptional efforts to serve the Hispanic community, and joining this celebration is another commitment to our Hispanic customers," said Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger's Atlanta Division, in a statement.
The event will feature local and national musical acts performing on Centennial Olympic Park's main stage, as well as other activities throughout the park. Additionally, an artist's market and food from many Latin American countries will be part of the festival.
