King’s Food Markets to Host Grand Reopening of Livingston NJ Store
Kings Food Markets will host a grand reopening of its Livingston, N.J. store Wednesday, May 23, the second of the upscale chain’s 24 stores to undergo renovations as part of a company-wide brand and website relaunch.
The initiative kicked off in February 2012 in an effort to meet the ever-changing needs and demands of Kings’ customers and will continue over the next few years across the company’s footprint in New Jersey and New York.
“At Kings, we want customers to be inspired when they interact with our brand, and you can’t help but feel that inspiration when you enter our Livingston store,” said Judy Spires, president and CEO of Kings Food Markets. “We listened to what our local Livingston customers want and need from their store, and created an experience filled with the freshest ingredients and highest-quality products to help them find that moment in the kitchen where inspiration strikes. Consumers have always relied on Kings for a unique shopping experience and best-in-class service, and the enhancements to our Livingston store deliver on our commitment to making every encounter with our brand a memorable one.”
The grand reopening will commence at noon, May 23 with an outdoor ceremony marking the official debut of the new Kings Livingston. Following the ceremony, customers are invited inside to enjoy the enhanced shopping experience that the remodeled store offers. Consumers will also have the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes and samples throughout the afternoon, most notably from local chef Bill Zucosky: the acclaimed executive chef of Strip House, located within Westminster Hotel in Livingston, will create a Kings-inspired twist on one of his signature dishes from noon to 2 pm. In addition, to demonstrate Kings’ commitment to ending hunger in New Jersey, a portion of the day’s proceeds will benefit the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW).
The recently remodeled Livingston store features new and expanded departments with unique offerings that cater to the discerning customer base that the location serves. These offerings include Neapolitan-style pizza that cooks in just two minutes; a Greek Yogurt Bar with an assortment of gourmet toppings; a Grain Exchange bar with healthy, legume-based options and a Coffee House that serves custom espressos and cappuccinos as well as iced lattes, frappuccinos and fresh fruit smoothies.
Kings Livingston will also feature chef-inspired prepared foods, freshly-rolled sushi, an Olive and Pickle Bar and more than 400 international cheeses, as well as a contemporary café equipped with Wi-Fi and a full-service Floral Boutique. In addition, the produce department will now offer a broader selection of organic and locally grown products as well as fresh-squeezed juice and freshly cut fruits and vegetables. Customers can also expect passionate, knowledgeable store experts eager to deliver superior service via thoughtful pairing suggestions, recipe ideas and preparation tips, according to King’s.
“We’re dedicated to providing consumers with the best possible shopping experience every time they walk through our doors,” says Spires. “From our expanded produce department to our new Coffee House to our one-of-a-kind Greek Yogurt Bar, each and every element of the Kings Livingston store was created to demonstrate that we share our love of food with our customers.”
