K-VA-T to Deploy Loyalty & Promo Management Solution

K-VA-T Food Stores plans to deploy a new customer loyalty and promotions management system to more effectively manage pricing strategy, execute at the point-of service, and deliver customer-specific promotions, continuity and analysis.

The regional, family-owned supermarket chain, which operates more than 100 stores in Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee under the Food City and Super Dollar banners, will use Dallas-based Retalix’s Loyalty solution; real-time, scalable targeted promotions; and the vendor’s consumer interaction solution developed to deliver offers, track performance, personalize communications and protect profits.

“Our stores serve a growing population base of nearly 1 million households in a competitive market, so it’s important to be able to quickly design and execute scalable and robust marketing and promotion campaigns,'' said Paul Widener, VP of information services at Abingdon, Va.-based K-VA-T. “The Retalix Loyalty solution will enable us to do more creative and relevant communications and promotions in the store, at the fuel pumps and online.''

The Retalix Loyalty system will be tightly integrated with the grocer’s existing Retalix StoreLine point-of-sale (POS) and HQ price management system.
