Jungle Jim's Captures 'America's Best Restroom' Throne

FAIRFIELD, Ohio - In honor of its immaculate, inviting, and most certainly memorable restroom, Jungle Jim's International Market based here has received first-place honors in the 2007 America's Best Restroom VI contest.

Jungle Jim's expansive restroom facilities were chosen for the top honor by the Internet-voting public, who cast online ballots in the sixth annual "America's Best Restroom" contest sponsored by Cincinnati-based Cintas Corp., a leading provider of restroom hygiene products and services.

Specifically, Jungle Jim's award-winning restroom was honored for its jungle-chic motif, concealed port-o-let doors, and exquisitely-appointed decor complete with flowers, marble, soft green tile, tropical pictures and more.

"I'm all about putting smiles on people's faces," said Jungle Jim's owner Jim Bonaminio. "People are so tense these days. Those bathrooms just seem to make people laugh and that's what we're all about -- laughing and having fun."

Voting was based on exceptional hygiene, style and open access to the public. The contest attracted nominations from a wide cross-section of businesses, including restaurants, hotels, casinos, and airports.

Jungle Jim's beat out four other finalists: runner-up Catch 31 Restaurant at the Hilton Hotel, Virginia Beach, Vir.; Mix Lounge at Mandalay Bay (Hotel & Casino Night Club), Las Vegas, Nev.; Vermont Marble Museum, Proctor, Vt., and Fandangles Restaurant, Flushing, Mich.

Jungle Jim's will receive an "America's Best Restroom" plaque of recognition from Cintas. It has also secured its place in the "America's Best Restroom Hall of Fame," found at www.bestrestroom.com.

Previous contest winners include the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind.; the Grand Casino in Biloxi, Miss.; Kohler Art Center in Sheboygan, Wis.; Fort Smith Regional Airport, Fort Smith, Ark.; and Wendell's Restaurant, Westerville, Ohio.
