Jewel-Osco Launches Holiday Giveaway

During Jewel-Osco’s “Wish Big Win Big” Holiday Giveaway Collect and Win Game, customers can collect game pieces for a chance to win their share of more than $30 million in prizes and money-saving offers, including two $250,000 cash prizes.

Customers can earn game pieces through Feb. 1. “Creating a great experience for shoppers who come to our stores is what drives us, and the Wish Big Win Big Holiday Giveaway gives our customers a chance to win some incredible prizes,” said Brian Huff, Jewel-Osco president. “We see this program as an opportunity to thank our current customers and attract new shoppers, while driving sales and creating a fun atmosphere for everyone.”

Customers can earn a game piece with qualifying purchases each time they shop and can earn additional game pieces by purchasing participating bonus products in the store. Special game boards will also be available so customers can keep track of how close they are to winning a prize. In addition to the collect-and-win prizes, there will be millions of instant prizes and in-store discounts awarded.

Jewel-Osco, a Supervalu company, operates 181 stores in Illinois, Iowa and Northwest Indiana.

Sister banner Shaw's, based in West Bridgewater, Mass., rolled out the same promotion Nov. 4. The giveaway at the New England grocery chain will run through Feb. 9.
