Japan’s Zen Nippon Shokuhin to Enhance Store Operations with New POS
Based on the success of a recent pilot, Zen Nippon Shokuhin of Japan plans to install new point-of-sale software and services to boost customer service, reduce costs and increase profits.
The Tokyo-based grocer is working with Ra’Anana, Israel-based Retalix on the project, which will include the vendor’s point-of-service (POS) software, the Retalix Loyalty and Promotion solution, and the Retalix HQ system for more than 1,000 locations across the country.
“Retalix’s POS, Loyalty and HQ solutions will provide us with a completely integrated system that will further enhance the customer experience, and will help us cut costs and increase revenue across our growing enterprise,” said Zen Nippon Shokuhin president Mitsuhiro Saito.
The Retalix Store Solution software is an open-architecture, multi-channel solution designed to increase a retailer’s efficiency and effectiveness at all customer touchpoints. The application contains advanced POS functionality, and supports customer loyalty, self-checkout, fuel management, QSR, and a wide variety of electronic payment services, according to the vendor.
Zen Nippon Shokuhin is a operates 1,700 member stores, 11 branch offices and 25 distribution centers throughout Japan.
