IGA Coca-Cola Institute Gears Up for Supermarket Management Class

CHICAGO -- The IGA Coca-Cola Institute has released details about the spring session of its Supermarket Management Class (SMC). The session will be held at the Downtown Marriott in Providence, R.I., March 19-24.

Independent retailers from around the world are invited to attend the weeklong class, where participants will learn from a faculty of professors, practitioners, award-winning authors, and entrepreneurs about consumer and market trends, category management, technology as it applies to retail, retail management, and how to improve their deli, produce, bakery, and meat departments.

Students will participate in interactive sessions led by retail experts, and will also experience new store formats through visits to local area supermarkets.
