Hy-Vee to Join Promo Signage Network

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Regional independent Hy-Vee, Inc. this week joined a promotional signage network specifically developed for grocery.

The retailer joined the Insignia POPSign program run by Insignia Systems, Inc., a developer and marketer of in-store advertising products, programs, and services to retailers and consumer goods manufacturers.

Insignia Systems, Inc. markets, sells and supports in-store advertising and promotional products, programs and services designed to provide retailers and consumer goods manufacturers with highly effective in-store programs and point-of-purchase display materials.

POPSign is a product- and account-specific in-store advertising program that combines product information and images from consumer goods manufacturers with retailers' logos and current store prices to produce a shelf-edge sign at the point-of-purchase. According to the vendor, the system delivers double- and triple-digit incremental sales lifts for participating brands.

Other retailers participating in Insignia's programs include A&P, Kroger, and Safeway, and more than 200 consumer goods manufacturers -- including General Mills, Reckitt Benckiser, Kellogg Company, Nestle, Pfizer, S.C. Johnson & Son, and Tyson Foods -- leverage the medium to deliver their brand messages to the point-of-purchase.
