Hormel Exec to Retire; New Appointments Made

AUSTIN, Minn. -- Michael J. McCoy, e.v.p. and c.f.o. of multinational consumer foods company Hormel Foods Corp. based here, will retire from the company at the end of December. The 12-year Hormel Foods veteran will remain a director of the company through Jan. 1, 2008.

Jody H. Feragen will succeed McCoy and serve as s.v.p. and c.f.o. Feragen is being promoted from her position as v.p./finance and treasurer. In addition, Ronald W. Fielding was named e.v.p. of grocery products, effective Jan. 1, 2007. Fielding will continue his responsibilities leading the grocery products division and will assume additional responsibilities in company acquisitions.

Feragen will assume her new responsibilities as effective Jan. 1, 2007. In her new post, she will oversee all financial areas of Hormel Foods Corp., including general accounting, information technology, cost accounting and treasury.

Roland G. Gentzler, currently assistant controller and director of refrigerated foods accounting, will succeed Feragen as v.p./ finance and treasurer, effective Jan. 1, 2007. His new responsibilities will include financial analysis, SEC reporting, risk management, cash management, tax and credit.

Russell C. Potter, director of grocery products production, was named v.p./ grocery products operations, effective immediately. In this position, Potter will continue to be responsible for the grocery products processing plant and co-packer operations.
