Hobart's Edge12 Delivers Power, Performance
Designed using customer input, Hobart’s newest addition to its slicer product line, the Edge12 medium-duty slicer, enhances ease of use, simplifies cleaning and includes added protective features. With its one-half horsepower motor and 12-inch diameter, carbon-steel knife, the Edge 12 is ideal for 2.5 hours of slicing per day. Its wider carriage span delivers a smoother glide, while the large product tray and slide-rod accommodate larger loaves.
The slicer includes protective features such as the carriage system interlock to ensure the product tray cannot be removed when the gauge plate is open and knife exposed, while the permanently mounted ring guard shields the knife during operation and maintenance.
Because cleanliness is a top priority with any machine used in foodservice and retail operations, the Edge12 features a sanitary anodized aluminum base that helps protect against bacteria growth, a removable carriage system, a top-mounted removable sharpening stone, and a rear-mounted, removable meat-grip arm for easy cleaning. The Edge12 is also certified by the NSF per the revised sanitation standard adopted in November 2010.
