Harris Teeter Unwraps Latest Signature Sub Sandwich

Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil has teamed up with Matthews, N.C.-based Harris Teeter to debut his personally designed Signature Sub Sandwich, "El Centro." To mark the sandwich's debut, Kalil will make an appearance at the Morrocroft Village Harris Teeter in Charlotte, N.C., on Sept. 30 from 1-2 p.m. to offer samples and sign autographs for fans.

El Centro, which contains BBQ pork, bacon, onion, avocado and chipotle sauce on a kaiser roll, will retail for $3.99. Shoppers will be able to upgrade it to a lunch pack, consisting of the sandwich and a choice of cookie, for $4.99.

Harris Teeter's second Signature Sub Sandwich of this year's football season, El Centro will be sold at the Fresh Foods Market Sandwich Shop in all of the Kroger-owned chain's Charlotte-area stores. Additional sandwiches are slated to roll out as the season progresses.
