Harris Teeter Rolls Out Summer Promo for Online Shoppers

Harris Teeter has launched a summer promotion for its Express Lane Online Shopping service enabling customers who enroll in the monthly fee plan through the end of August to pay a flat rate of $9.95 per month, no matter how often they shop online. Customers who decide to pay per order will be charged just $1.95 during the same period.

The Matthews, N.C.-based grocer normally charges shoppers a $4.95 service fee per order, and customers who use Express Lane Online Shopping often can opt for the $16.95 monthly fee, which allows them to place as many orders as they want in a given month, without incurring extra charges. As a special offer, Harris Teeter also always waives the service fee for first-time users.

On any given day of the month, when a customer chooses the monthly fee option, she can add the monthly fee to her Express Lane Online Shopping bill when placing an order. From that date, the usual service fee will be automatically waived on all orders for the next 30 days.

Harris Teeter currently has 75 Express Lane Online Shopping stores and plans to offer the service in 20 more stores within the next year.
