Harris Teeter Readies for 11th Baltimore Store
Harris Teeter is gearing up to open its 11th store in Baltimore, Md., at the Shops at Canton Crossing on Tues., April 8. A highlight of the grand-opening celebration is a sampling event featuring Harris Teeter brand products.
The Matthews, N.C.-based chain opened its first Maryland store in 2010, and has since ramped up its presence with its 11th store in the state. The Canton Crossing Harris Teeter, situated in a lifestyle center on Boston Street which is anchored by a Target and which features 30 shops and restaurants, will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight, while its pharmacy will be open seven days per week as well.
Highlights of the fresh-focused, 52,000-square-foot store, include: Eight checkouts and four USCAN checklanes; full-service Butchers Market with Rancher Beef, HT Reserve Angus Beef and HT Naturals beef; full-service Fisherman’s Market; full-service floral shop and an expanded fresh-cut flower section; fresh fruit bar; sushi; self-serve olives; salad bar; international cheeses; European pastries; chef prepared foods to go; custom cakes and ice cream cakes; hot Asian bar; sub shop and made-to-order sandwiches; artisan breads; Italian meats; hot foods bar; fresh-made salads and pizza; rotisserie items; Starbucks; organic, natural and specialty foods; expanded olive oils; expanded general merchandise; double coupons; Club 60 discount program; Western Union; Coinstar; Red Box DVD Rental Kiosk; and a sit-down eating area, among others.
