Harris Teeter Hosts Hungry Carolina Panther

On Oct. 16, Carolina Panthers linebacker Charles Johnson is scheduled to appear at the Harris Teeter Morrocroft Village store in Charlotte, N.C., to introduce the pro football player’s custom-designed Signature Sub Sandwich, “The Big Dawg.”

For $3.99, customers of Charlotte-area Fresh Foods Market Sandwich Shops at the Matthews, N.C.-based grocery chain will get a Philly cheesesteak with pepperoni, bacon and cheddar cheese, topped with mayonnaise and a dash of salt, on a cheese sub roll. A $4.49 lunch pack consists of “The Big Dawg” half sub and the shopper’s choice of one Chocolate Chunk, Macadamia Nut, Oatmeal Raisin or Cranberry Nut Cookie.

During his appearance at the store, Johnson will provide samples of his Signature Sub Sandwich and sign autographs for fans.

The Fresh Foods Market offers made-to-order sandwiches daily, including Signature Sub Sandwiches inspired by Panthers players, more of which are in the pipeline. Customers can also purchase team merchandise at Harris Teeter.
