Harris Teeter Fights Hunger with ‘Harvest Feast’

In keeping with its ongoing fight against hunger, Harris Teeter is hosting its 10th annual Harvest Feast campaign which provides assistance to its local food bank partners through generous support from Harris Teeter shoppers. Through Nov. 30, customers can donate money or nonperishable food items to their local food banks to help feed America.

Every dollar and canned food item donated during the campaign makes a difference in the number of community members Harris Teeter’s food bank partners can help. This includes adults, children and seniors who rely on food banks to supply a network of partner agencies with enough grocery items to assist people in need.

Harris Teeter launched Harvest Feast in 2003. Since that time, the company’s shoppers have donated over one million dollars as well as hundreds of thousands of pounds of nonperishable food items to support its local food bank partners.  All donations will stay in the local community in which it was collected.

Matthews, N.C.-based Harris Teeter employs approximately 25,000 associates and operates stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, Delaware, Florida and the District of Columbia.
