Harbor Wholesale Grocery Acquires Paul Jackson Wholesale
TUMWATER, Wash. - Regional grocery wholesaler Harbor Wholesale Grocery Inc. here yesterday bought all the assets of Paul Jackson Wholesale, an independent grocery and convenience distributor servicing the state of Oregon and elsewhere on the West Coast.
The acquisition is the latest of several for Harbor, that have included Bur-Bee Wholesale, of Walla Walla, Wash., and Howard's Meats of Portland, Ore., to expand its reach along the West Coast. With the purchase of Paul Jackson, Harbor now distributes groceries in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and select regions of California and Alaska.
Paul Jackson will be operated under the Harbor Wholesale Grocery name, the buying concern said.
Harbor Wholesale is a family-owned and operated full-service grocery distribution business that has served the Pacific Northwest for the past 84 years. Harbor also said it is one of the top 20 convenience distributors in the country.
