Hannaford Units to Offer Wine Tastings
SCARBOROUGH, Maine -- In honor of the 25th anniversary of Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau's arrival in the United States, Hannaford Supermarkets and Les Vins Georges Duboeuf are offering complimentary in-store tastings in select Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont stores today and tomorrow between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Hannaford is holding tastings today at stores in Portland, Brunswick, Saco, Windham, Bangor, and Yarmouth, Maine, as well as in Middlebury, Burlington, and Rutland, Vt. today; and tomorrow at stores in Concord, Hampton, Bedford, and Manchester, N.H.
The year's first bottle of Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau is traditionally released on the third Thursday in November, which this year coincides with the anniversary. Duboeuf's American importer is White Plains, N.Y.-based W.J. Deutsch & Sons, Ltd.
