Haggen to Upgrade Its Top Food & Drug Web Site

Haggen, Inc. said it plans to upgrade its Top Food & Drug Web site with a variety of tools to enhance the online shopping experience.

The Bellingham, Wash.-based grocer is working with Minneapolis-based Grocery Shopping Network on the project. The goal is to to transform the Top Food & Drug Web site from a mere weekly flyer to a one-stop information source that includes a shopping list and recipe suggestions, meal preparation videos, and coupons.

“Haggen will now be able to improve service to its customers on a one-to-one level,” said Grocery Shopping Network c.e.o. Andy Robinson. “We see the importance that grocery stores continue to put on the Internet and [how they are] successfully leveraging the Web as a primary communication medium.”

Haggen owns 17 Top Food & Drug locations in Washington, 15 Haggen Food and Pharmacy units in Washington and Oregon, and a Larry’s Market in Washington.
