H-E-B Selects Fujitsu 9900 Multi-Optic Scanner for 200-Store Roll-Out
DALLAS - Fujitsu-Transaction Solutions Inc. announced today that San Antonio, Texas-based H-E-B, one of the nation's largest, independently owned food retailers, has selected the Fujitsu Model 9900 multi-optic fixed scanner for installation in more than 200 stores in Texas. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Fujitsu begins chainwide installation of the Model 9900 scanners this month and will continue the project for the next several years. Fujitsu won the H-E-B contract after participating in H-E-B's six-month pilot of comparative fixed-scanner products, which analyzed throughput performance; operator efficiency; and ease and speed of diagnosis, maintenance and repairs.
The Fujitsu Model 9900 features lowest counter-depth ergonomics, advanced programmability and built-in features that eliminate the need for expensive add-on equipment.
