Grocery Shopping iPhone App Adds List-sharing Feature

iPhone Shopping List App Shopper has added a new function to make it easier for time-pressed families to accomplish their shopping chores by allowing them to create a digital version of the refrigerator list on smart phones that can be synchronized in real time with each member of the family.

To sync the list, users simply send an invitation to people they want to share the list with. Once the invitation is accepted, each person can add items to the list, and all synchronized lists are automatically updated.

“Our huge and vocal user base told us they wanted the ability to sync lists with family members, and we listened,” said Antony Galdi, shopper product manager for New York-based ReachEverywhere, which created the application. “We strive to help busy families accomplish their shopping goals more efficiently and are adding additional features in the coming weeks that will help people save money and time.”

Shopper’s existing features include multiple lists for multiple stores; the ability to input pricing, photos, or coupon information for any item on the list; “Guiding Stars” nutritional ratings on grocery items; and organization of lists to match the aisle order or layout of specific grocery stores.
