Gristede?s Loses Kings Exclusivity Window
PARSIPPANY, N.J. - Marks & Spencer said Tuesday that the exclusivity period for Gristede's Foods to negotiate a definitive stock purchase agreement to acquire Kings Super Markets has ended without a deal being reached.

M&S is reportedly in negotiation with another supermarket company interested in buying Parsippany, N.J.-based Kings. Industry observers speculate that Larchmont, N.Y.-based D'Agostino Supermarkets, which has shown interest in Kings before, is likely the suitor.
