Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods has added four ready-to-eat whole grain granolas to its family of more than 400 whole grain flours, baking mixes and cereals. The naturally sweetened oat-based granolas are rich in calcium, magnesium and vitamin E, as well as featuring crunchy rice clusters. New varieties are Cinnamon Raisin and Honey Oat, while Apple Blueberry and Natural have been improved. “With an estimated 90 percent of natural consumers feeding themselves and their families some form of cold cereal, requests for granolas made with real, whole grain ingredients have been skyrocketing,” notes Dennis Gilliam, VP of sales and marketing at Milwaukie, Ore.-based Bob’s Red Mill. “Our customers have been asking for additional granola options for a while now, and that’s exactly what we’re providing with this new line.” A 12-ounce bag retails for a suggested $3.89.
