GMA Beefs Up Industry Affairs Team

The Grocery Manufacturers Association has appointed Michelle Marcoot to the position of director of supply chain, and the promoted Jeanne Iglesias to senior director of supply chain and technology.

Before joining GMA, Michelle Marcoot was senior director of member services at the Corporate Executive Board, where she led several leadership groups on technology, innovation, and supply chain issues. At GMA Marcoot will manage supply chain activities, including day-to-day activities of the logistics and direct store delivery (DSD) committees, along with the supply chain vanguard group, as well as work on the annual GMA Information Systems and Logistics and Distribution (ISLD) Conference. In her new position, Marcoot reports to Iglesias.

Iglesias has headed the activities of GMA's logistics, IT, DSD, and supply chain vanguard committees. As well as having primary responsibility for the organization's supply chain and technology practice, she will build a new information technology vanguard group (a group of industry c.i.o.'s) that will help position GMA in the forefront of the myriad technology issues causing change in supply chain relationships with customers and suppliers. Jeanne will also oversee GMA's activities with various global technology standards groups.

The GMA board of directors comprises c.e.o.'s from the association's member companies.
