Applegate Farms, a leading purveyor of organic and natural meats and cheeses, is expanding its allergen-sensitive offerings with the launch of gluten-free breaded chicken nuggets.

Making its debut in grocers nationwide in May, the line will extend Applegate Farms’ 100-item line of gluten-free products, including deli meats, hot dogs and bacon all made without the fillers that often contain gluten.

“Gluten intolerance doesn’t just affect the nearly 3 million Americans who have been diagnosed with Celiac disease; an estimated one in seven people is considered non-celiac gluten sensitive (NCGS), or sensitive to gluten although they don’t test positive for the disease,” noted Steve McDonnell, Founder/CEO, Applegate Farms. “We have worked very hard to create a gluten-free option that is just as delicious as our other products that these consumers can trust for themselves and their children.”

Applegate Farms Gluten-Free Breaded Chicken Nuggets are frozen fully cooked to ensure safety, can be heated in the microwave or oven and will be available in an 8-ounce package retailing for a suggested $5.99.
