Glengrove Organics to Launch in Loblaws
TORONTO -- Loblaws' Natural Value departments will launch a program next month featuring one-pound packages of core organics items such as raisins, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and an assorted dried-fruit-and-nut mix, marketed under the Glengrove Organics brand.
Glengrove Organics, manufactured by Vancouver, B.C.-based Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp. subsidiary DMR Food, will initially be packaged in sizes of about a pound or larger, with future line extensions to include smaller packs for the single-serve snack category.
"We are confident these large pack sizes will attract traditional bulk dried fruit and nut customers as a much more convenient packaging alternative," said DMR Food president David Reingold in a statement. "I am convinced about the potential that the Glengrove product line has in today's marketplace. Our launch in Loblaws further validates our formula of starting with a quality product and adding great packaging, reliable delivery, and excellent service."
Clearly Canadian markets premium alternative beverages, including Clearly Canadian sparkling flavored waters and Clearly Canadian dailyEnergy, dailyVitamin, and dailyHydration Natural Enhanced Waters which are distributed in the United States, Canada, and various other countries; and organic and natural dried fruit and nut snack foods, including the Sundridge Farms, Naturalife, Sweet Selections, Simply by Nature, and Glengrove Organics brands.
Loblaws spokesman Geoff Wilson was not available for comment at press time.
