Giant Eagle Tests DVD Kiosks in GetGos
PITTSBURGH -- Giant Eagle here is testing Redbox DVD kiosks at five of its GetGo convenience store locations around its Pittsburgh home base starting this month.
If the test goes well, Giant Eagle will add kiosks to stores in other markets.
The GetGo test expands the presence of Redbox in the c-store category, while introducing more consumers to the $1 per night price point, according to Redbox, which further said.
All told, Giant Eagle has 115 GetGo c-stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Redbox kiosks are now in more than 1,800 locations nationwide, including McDonald•s and grocery chains Albertsons and Giant Eagle.
