Giant Eagle S.V.P. Among Penn.'s Best 50 Biz Women
HARRISBURG, Pa. -- M. Michele Sponholtz, s.v.p. of Giant Eagle, Inc., was honored this week as one of Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business.
The awards program, sponsored by five Pennsylvania business journals, recognizes the impact female business owners and leaders have in creating jobs and building communities in the state.
An independent panel of judges selected the top 50 candidates based on dedication to business growth, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women in business.
To qualify, nominees must be female residents of Pennsylvania or be employed in the state and must be an owner, partner, president, chief executive officer, board chair, in a senior executive management level position; or be a woman with significant authority in decision-making.
