Giant-Carlisle/Martin's Carry Ahold's High-End Label
CARLISLE, Pa. -- Giant Food Stores, LLC here and Martin's Food Markets are carrying Simply Enjoy, Ahold USA's high-end label product line, which was rolled out at Giant-Landover and Stop & Shop in September 2006.
"Simply Enjoy is Giant's newest addition to its family of corporate brand products and allows our customers to indulge in new delicacies and specialty foods without the price usually associated with such food items," said Denise Mullen, Giant-Carlisle's director, corporate brands.
Giant Food Stores spokeswoman Tracey Palewski told Progressive Grocer that the product line was first launched at Giant-Carlisle and Martin's in late February.
Giant said the Simply Enjoy line includes a broad selection of gourmet products in the frozen desserts, cookies, candy, pasta, crackers, salsas, olive oils, fresh bakery, and deli departments. About 55 Simply Enjoy products are currently available at Giant/Martin's, with additional items scheduled to hit shelves throughout the year.
Giant and Martin's also plans to offer Simply Enjoy samples and cooking demonstrations at several of their stores.
Giant Food Stores operates stores in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia under the names of Giant Food Stores, Tops Markets, Martin's Food Markets and "foodsource."
