Giant-Carlisle Hires SVP of Supply Chain
Giant Food Stores, LLC has hired Walt Lentz as SVP of supply chain, a newly created position. Reporting directly to Peter Labbe, EVP of retail operations and supply chain, Lentz will lead the development of Giant’s supply chain capability.
Lentz, a supply chain veteran with 22 years of experience under his belt, comes to Giant from the Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg Co., where he held numerous leadership positions, including general plant manager; director, North American customer service; director, global procurement; senior director, Keebler integration; VP, North American logistics and real estate and most recently VP, North American supply chain effectiveness and network planning.
Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant Food Stores, LLC, a division of Ahold USA, operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia under the names of Giant Food Stores, Martin’s Food Markets and Giant To Go.
