Galgano Leaving A&P
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. (A&P) has revealed in a regulatory filing that its CFO and treasurer, Brenda Galgano, will leave the company as of March 27, according to a published report. Her successor was not identified.
A&P filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December and received final court approval the following month for its debtor-in-possession facility.
After several years in the assurance practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC, Galgano joined A&P in 1999 as director of corporate accounting, later taking the position of assistant corporate controller. She became corporate controller in 2002, SVP two years later and CFO in 2005. Last year, she took on the additional role of treasurer.
A&P has not responded to PG's request for comment.
