FreshDirect Rolls Out Customer-created Shopping Lists, Reduces Minimum Order

LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. -- Online grocer FreshDirect last week launched what it called innovative customer-created Shopping Lists and a new delivery order minimum of $30 as the latest additions to its online grocery buying and delivery service.

Part of the Quick Shop section of the FreshDirect Web site, the new Shopping List feature enables customers to create and save customized lists the retailer said. Customers can create new lists for weekly shopping, favorite recipes, monthly staples, or needed party foods, FreshDirect said.

Along with the Shopping List feature, the company will offer pre-created lists, which include Simple Suppers, Pantry Basics, Top 20 Most Popular FreshDirect Items, Healthy Snacks, and Entertaining Essentials, to spur customers to develop their own lists.

FreshDirect serves most of Manhattan and locations in Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, as well as parts of New Jersey, Westchester, and Nassau County.
